Nicole L. Atlak

Nicole L. Atlak is an associate attorney with the firm. Ms. Atlak handles both criminal and civil ligation, as well as family law matters and administrative proceedings. Her areas of practice include criminal defense; divorce; child custody; child support; domestic violence; traffic summons (including D.W.I.); Division of Children and Family (DCF) investigations; and appellate matters. Ms. Atlak also defends the rights of teachers and other school employees against disciplinary actions, tenure charges, certificate revocation proceedings, and other employment-related matters.

Prior to joining Caruso Smith Picini, P.C., Ms. Atlak worked as a prosecutor for the New York City Law Department in New York County. Ms. Atlak worked particularly on juvenile delinquency matters and prosecuted hundreds of cases ranging from shoplifting, burglary, and possession of narcotics and weapons/firearms, to violent crimes, including robberies, aggravated assaults, and vehicular manslaughter. Ms. Atlak also worked as a Special Victims prosecutor, handling sensitive cases of a sexual nature, and is certified in forensic interviewing practices.
