After receiving his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Tyshchenko accepted a scholarship to attend Brooklyn Law School. After graduation, he joined the firm as an associate in the litigation department where he has acquired extensive trial experience representing clients at all levels of the judicial system; handling cases ranging in complexity from municipal court matters to homicides to appellate division litigation.
Though his practice is now focused primarily on criminal defense, Mr. Tyshchenko devotes much of his time to the defense of law enforcement personnel, representing police, corrections, and sheriff's officers in both criminal matters and departmental disciplinary actions. In addition, Mr. Tyshchenko defends law enforcement officers at the federal level who have been charged with civil rights violations and criminal offenses.
Mr. Tyshchenko also serves as a Pool Attorney for the Office of the Public Defender, and works on a pro bono basis, and through the Office of the Public Defender, filing applications for Post Conviction Relief.
